CBSE Launches Pilot for National Credit Framework in classes 6, 9, and 11

In a significant stride towards reshaping the landscape of education in India, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the commencement of a pilot for the National Credit Framework.

Scheduled to kick off in the upcoming academic session of 2024-25, this pioneering initiative targets students in classes 6, 9, and 11, echoing the visionary objectives outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The National Credit Framework stands as a beacon of innovation, heralding a paradigm shift in the educational ecosystem by seamlessly intertwining school, higher, and vocational education. Under this novel framework, students will have the liberty to accumulate credits through a diverse array of learning avenues. These credits will find a secure abode in the Academic Bank of Credit (ABC), intricately linked to the student’s APAAR ID and DigiLocker, ensuring the sanctity and coherence of their academic trajectory.
